- Capacity
- Match the rated capacity to the heaviest vehicle you will lift regularly, not the average one. Each model card shows its published rating.
- Clear floor or floor plate
- Clear-floor models run hoses and cables overhead and need enough ceiling height; floor-plate models keep the area above open but put a plate between the posts.
- Symmetric vs. asymmetric arms
- Asymmetric arms set the vehicle back so doors open more easily; symmetric arms center heavier, longer-wheelbase trucks. Some models are adjustable.
- Your concrete and bay
- Confirm slab thickness, concrete condition, bay width and ceiling height against the model's installation requirements before ordering.
